Artist’s Statement: With my art, I seek to capture a state of grace or essence of being. My creative expression is inspired by the symbolic, and from the beginning, my art has always had strong symbolic messages. The meaning is never revealed in the making of an individual piece, but appears later within a greater context.
Discovering a mesmerizing marriage of the texture and color of gemstones and glass, my wearable Talismans highlight the juxtaposition of nature's beauty with the human artistic object. The unique energy of each Talisman mirrors the unearthed potential available to womankind. These Talismans protect and enhance the wearer’s transformative capacity, while communicating her true essence. As such, these Talismans reflect the amazing possibilities we have as women.
